We really cannot handle phone calls to district staff and district tech support regarding these laptop sales. If you have a question, please first re-read the information above and the Frequently Asked Questions Below. Q: The laptop I purchased still says "Property of Westside Community Schools" at the login screen. How do I get rid of that?
A: Answer....
> Pull the Apple menu down to SYSTEM PREFERENCES
> Select SECURITY & PRIVACY
> Click the GENERAL tab
> Next to "Show a message when the screen is locked" click the SET LOCK MESSAGE button
> Delete the "Property of..." message and click OK.
Q: The laptop I purchased has sticky stuff on it. How do I get it off?
A: This is residual adhesive from district inventory tagging and labeling. It is easily removed by a product such as "Goo Gone" that is available at various retailers.
Q: I need some help with my laptop after I purchased it. Can you recommend someone that I could pay for service/upgrades/help/etc.?
A: Computer Hardware, Inc. is one Apple Authorized service provider. Phone: (402)334-5525.
