CLIX
CLIX is a web-based group feedback system that I developed using PHP
and MySQL. Classroom teachers use it in large groups to assess
levels of understanding and to sample opinions. Students
use their laptops and their web-browsers to contribute their responses.
This system is purposefully simple. The goal was to have a
system that required little or no configuration to utilize in a
classroom setting.
CLIX Start Page:
Instructor arrives at a unique string of letters and/or numbers and
enters it into the teacher area.
CLIX Instructor Ready Page:
Instructor has opened a classroom session and has opened the system to
recieve student responses. The question can be given orally or
through a slideshow on the screen.
CLIX Student Page:
Student clicks on the graphic to select and submit their
response. Once chance only.
CLIX Results Page:
Instructor "closes" the question and the responses are automatically
tallied. One click "opens" another question for responses
from students.
